Story City Economic Development Corporation and Story City Greater Chamber Connection 2013 Annual Dinner

Friday, February 8

Celebrate our 2012 accomplishments, receive informative updates and see visions for the future.  Social hour:  5:30 pm.  Dinner:  6:30 pm.  Carousel Lanes at 215 West Broad Street, Story City.  $12.50 per person.  Contact the GCC for tickets.  Roland Story Alum and KCCI newscaster Eric Hanson will provide us with an entertaining "News Flash."

Community Easter Egg Hunt

The Easter Bunny joins us each year to celebrate the hunt for easter eggs with the children of Story City. With help from the Roland-Story High School FCCLA, kids enjoy games, face painting, pictures with the bunny, and hunting for eggs. Held at the Factory Stores of America Mall from 10:00 am until noon. 

GCC Wine & Beer Tasting

Iowa wine and beer makers and other vendors will present their products during this entertaining event.   

Scandinavian Days

Celebrating 47 years of our community-wide festival. Scandinavian Days offers something for the entire family.  Drawing on the traditions of many of our community's Norwegian families, our Heritage Hall gives a taste of the foods, crafts, and stories of Scandinavia. STORY! Celebrating the Art of Storytelling

What better place to have a storytelling festival than Story City! Well-known storytellers from throughout the midwest join Story City for workshops, storytelling concerts, open mic, matinees, and STORY! stops in the shops with stories of humor, faith, friendship, and tradition. Downtown Trick or Treat Night

Downtown streets are blocked off to provide children a safe environment to trick or treat with downtown merchants and residential communities.
