Incentives

Story City Economic Development Corporation will work closely with the State of Iowa and City of Story City to design a complete and competitive package of incentives to suit the development needs for a qualified prospect. Incentives may include:

Economic Grant

City of Story City will consider an economic grant based on number of new employees.

Site Grant

For new construction, the City of Story City will consider providing the development site at no cost.

Tax Abatement

For new construction, the City of Story City will consider a five year declining tax abatement, beginning at 75%, decreasing 15% each year.

Economic Loan

City of Story City will consider an economic loan of up to $50,000, with an interest rate of 1/2 of prime.

State of Iowa

A number of grants and loans are available through the State of Iowa. City of Story City will provide grant application assistance at no cost.
