Marian Olive Elected New GCC President
Posted February 23rd, 2010The Story City GCC is pleased to announced that Marian Olive of Norsemen Realty, Ltd. was elected the new GCC Board President at the February 17th meeting. Marian previously served on the Board as the Business Improvement Chair. In addition to her GCC duties, Marian is also President of Judge Story's Theatrical Troupe and the Charlson Building Board.
Cook Family Dentistry Accepts Award
Posted February 23rd, 2010Michelle Cook, D.D.S., and her family attended a grant award ceremony at the Botanical Gardens in Des Moines on January 23, 2010 with GCC Director Carolyn Honeycutt and Story City Mayor Mike Jensen. Cook was awarded a HUD Challenge Grant of $66,500 to build a new dental facility downtown on the southeast corner of Broad and Elm next to Troy's Barbershop.
